Privacy policy: what a visit here shares, and with whom
What a visit touches, what the contact form keeps, and how to ask about it.

The short version
- No accounts, no sign-in, and nothing about you is sold.
- Analytics counts visits and pages read, in total.
- The contact form keeps what you type, only to answer you.
- We collect no dental or health data from readers.
- A store you reach through a link has its own policy and cookies.
What this site collects
RetainerCareGuide is a reading site, with no accounts and no comment box. Like any website, it receives the technical details your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We build no visitor profiles, and we sell or rent nothing about anyone.
Analytics and cookies
An analytics service counts visits, which pages are read and for how long, and which links are followed. It works from those technical details and may set cookies to tell a returning visit from a new one.
We use these numbers only in total, to choose which guides to improve and re-check first, never to show you advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works the same without them.
The contact form
The contact form sends us the name, email, topic and message you type, and nothing else. We use them to answer you and to check a correction you send. Your message is:
- never added to a mailing list;
- never shared with a brand or store you mention;
- kept while we need it to answer you, and deleted when you ask.
No health information
We do not collect consumer health data. Our analytics counts pages read in total; it is not tied to your name or email, not used to infer anything about your health, and never sold or shared for advertising.
Please don't send treatment details, photos of your mouth or anything about your health; if a message carries them, we answer what we can and delete those details. Where a law such as Washington's My Health My Data Act gives you rights over such data, write to us and we will answer.
Store links
"Check price" buttons take you to the store, where its own privacy policy applies, and it may set its own cookies. No store tells us who you are.
The disclosure page explains these links.
Files from other servers
Some files, such as fonts and photos, may load from other companies' servers. Your browser's request for them carries what any web request carries, such as your IP address.
Hosting and security
A hosting company serves the site and handles the technical data above to deliver pages and stop abuse. Pages and the contact form use an encrypted connection, and only RetainerCareGuide reads form messages.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for answering it, so the site works the same with or without it. Either way, we do not track you across other websites or sell or share data for advertising.
Children and teens
Many retainer wearers are teens, and the guides are written for them and their parents. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian to write to us for you; if we learn a child under 13 has sent us a message, we delete it.
Your choices and requests
You can ask what we hold about you (in practice, a message you sent) and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to [email protected] from the address you used, or choose "A privacy request" on the contact page. We answer every request.
